Tasty meal is cooked over a slow fire

Producing a gastronomical delight requires several skills out of which paitence is of prime importance. One could be using the best of ingredients but the result could be ruined if you are impatient. While we appreciate this in principle, practicing becomes difficult. How many times have you been cheerful while waiting for your favourite snack or meal at a restaurant. We pressurize the cook to deliver fast and then crib at the poor quality.
Over time, the cooks have found a way out of this. In any kitchen, you will find half cooked or half prepared dishes. Sometimes it is fully cooked and then re-heated again and again in the marvelous invention Microwave. We customers (or end users) get the impression that the meal has been prepared specially for us and that too in record time. We praise the cook for his culinary skills as well for his speed.
Do the guests at any restaurant have any idea of the total preparation time required.
A Project Manager faces the same problem. The expectation of customers are often unrealistic and hilarious.
